Ice covered bodies of water present a large risk to anyone that lives around them, as well as Departments that have the potential to respond to incidents involving these bodies of water. Water rescues can be dangerous by themselves, but when the weather is cold and the surface is frozen, you have to have participated in specialized training to prepare for these incidents. You do not want to respond to these calls without previous training. Our instructors have grown up around the water and have years of training in water and ice rescue. Consider having our instructors help prepare your Department for these calls.
Special Operations Rescue
High Angle, Trench, Man vs. Machine, and Machinery rescues are all very technical, requiring thorough preparation and flawless performance when the time counts. The STB instructors take great pride in maintaining, honing, and expanding our skills in a variety of Special Operations skills and scenarios.
Surface Water Rescue
From flat water (lakes, ponds, streams, and rivers) to ocean water conditions these calls are just as dangerous or technical as a house fire or MVC with entrapment. Our instructors grow up and live around water areas and have responded to numerous water rescue calls. Additionally, we have instructors that previously worked for the Town of Ocean City, MD, Beach Patrol. STB Instructors truly enjoy teaching about water safety and methods to prepare and perform water rescues and safety of those around the water.
