This week the guys talk with Deputy Chief James Gladwell, of the Salisbury Fire Department, about navigating the promotional process.   Making the decision to promote is a big decision, and that is the easy part.  Preparing, testing, and hopefully being lucky enough to promote leads to bigger and more difficult decisions every day.  If you think you are at the point to promote you will want to hear what the guys have to say!

Thirsty Thursday returns July 9th with Herbie Tyler, owner of National Rescue Consultants.  Herbie teaching classes in structural collapse, rope rescue, trench rescue, and confined space rescue.  Herbie is also a Lieutenant currently assigned to a rescue squad in Florida.

Thirsty Thursday returns June 25th with Fire Chief John Tull of the Salisbury Fire Department (MD).  Chief Tull has held every rank in the Department over his career.  Thursday Chief Tull will share with us his experience as he rose up the ranks and what worked for him to lead his people and now the Department.

STB Instructors returns with Guest Assistant Chief Rob Frampton, of the Salisbury (MD) Fire Department, as we talk about kitchen fires and some of the research Chief Frampton has done regarding the prevalence and prevention of kitchen fires. 
STB Instructors and Guest Battalion Chief Daniel Sheridan, of the FDNY, discuss operating at high rise fires.  Our instructors and guest have extensive experience in high rise firefighting operations.  Join us as we talk about the ways to set up for success, carry that plan out, and challenges we have faced during incidents in these types of buildings.

Watch below to see our first webcast.  We had some technical errors that prevented us from talking with Lt. Ray McCormack about the recently released UL study, but Chief Steedman, Captain Waples, and Lieutenant Magee discussed how the fire service deals with change, some of the changes coming from the research UL is doing, and the importance of efficiency in the basics.  Please watch below and enjoy!
